2022 Mary Lehman MacLachlan Economic Empowerment Award
Vicki Vasques, Owner and Chairwoman of Tribal Tech and Cowan & Associates has been awarded the 2022 Mary Lehman MacLachlan Economic Empowerment Award. This award is given each year to a Women Presidents Organization (WPO) member who embodies economic independence by running a financially sound business, providing financial benefits for staff, and supporting other businesswomen in the community.
Staying true to our principles of People, Performance and Partnership, Vicki has mentored two businesswomen. Both business leaders are native women who were able to create their own successful businesses due to the help they received from Vicki in navigating the Small Business Administration (SBA) certification process.
WPO also recognized Vicki for founding The RMP Foundation, created in memory of her father who was the tribal chairman of her tribe. The Foundation’s mission is to improve education, health, and wellness for all people especially those in native communities.
