Cowan & Associates, INC, founded in 2000, a Native American, woman owned small business headquartered in Alexandria, has a position for a Project Administrator to support the Director of Navy Staff, Directives, Forms and Information Collections Management (DNS-15) branch of the Office of the Chief of Naval Operations (OPNAV). DNS-15 responsibilities are to manage and maintain the Chief of Naval Operations (CNO) official directives program, the Secretary of the Navy (SECNAV) and CNO forms and information collection programs. DNS-15 consists of the Navy directives manager, the Department of the Navy (DON) forms manager, and the DON information collections/reports manager.  Please submit resume to Bob Milligan, bob.milligan@cowanassociates.net.

The Project Administrator will support DON Information Management Control Program by assisting the DON Information Management Control Officer (IMCO)with package creation, review, and processing for OMB, DoD, and OPNAV data collections in accordance with OPNAV and higher authority information management control policy and procedures. This includes reports control reviews, information management reviews, database creation/maintenance, Management of report control data entry. Establish and maintain master OPNAV and DON sponsored OMB and DOD report control symbol case files (both electronic and hard copy) of all issued report control Symbols. Establish and maintain electronic case files in the approved records management system. Create and maintain other information management control reports and databases, as required. Perform follow ups with sponsors/originators on report control packages. Prepare information control training materials and assist with performing one-on-one, DCO, and/or group training on information management control to action officers, originators/sponsors and Navy/USMC IMCOs. Coordinate and participate with Navy Knowledge Online (NKO) and the e-learning team to create and maintain web based training for Navy/USMC IMCOs. Answer and respond to information management help desk inquiries (via phone calls, emails and visits).

Skills and Abilities:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Clearance: SECRET
