Tribal Tech, LLC is looking for a Meeting Planner/Project Specialist to provide all aspects of logistical support for advisory council meetings, workgroups and conferences to carry out technical assistance and training support for American Indian/Alaska Native grantees.  Responsible for managing requests for training, planning logistics of travel, and managing a calendar of all events, must be responsive to reporting and meeting grant requirements.  Provide support and practice culturally sensitive principles for all materials, exchanges, and contact with grantees and attendees.

Location: Washington, D.C.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Planning and logistical support for national and regional conferences.
  • Process expense report reimbursements for grantee travel to national and regional conferences.
  • Maintain a calendar of TTA and other events in collaboration with organizational partners and the federal client.
  • Serves as primary point of contact for the Division of Indian and Native American Program (DINAP) and the content on posting, updating, and maintaining website content for communities of practice websites.
  • Provide technical support and assistance to Indian and Native American grantees related to the case management system.
  • Assist a high-level executive in a fast paced environment with administrative tasks.

  • Knowledge of web communications, webinar platforms, and social media preferred.
  • Extensive working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint is desired.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
  • 3-4 years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in arranging conferences at hotels including, but not limited to, negotiating lodging and reserving blocks of rooms, meeting space, audiovisual requirements, and hotel transportation.
  • Experience in working with federally recognized tribes and/or hosting Native American events.
