Program Analyst (Impact Evaluator)

Tribal Tech, LLC is in search of a Program Analyst (Impact Evaluator) with a background in evaluation, writing and a passion for supporting Native American communities. You will work on-site with a federal client by planning, coordinating, and conducting offsite project evaluations of grant projects. This position will also help develop data-informed recommendations for modifying, revising and implementing improvements to the effectiveness and efficiency of programs.

Location: Washington, DC

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
  • 2-6 years of related professional experience
  • 1-3 years of experience performing monitoring and evaluation activities
  • 1-3 years of experience analyzing and interpreting data
  • Experience working in the community development field and/or with distressed communities
  • Experience working with the American Indian/Alaska Native community highly preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be self-motivated and have the ability to take initiative and manage competing tasks and projects under strict deadlines
  • Ability to demonstrate good judgment/decision making skills and to take initiative
  • Must be dependable and trustworthy
  • Detail orientated with strong ability to anticipate needs and problems and act accordingly
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with demonstrated ability to manage conflicting priorities, multi-task

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct interviews and project evaluations in Native American, Alaska Native, and Pacific Indigenous communities
  • Analyze and interpret quantitative and qualitative results/data from a variety of sources, including on-site evaluations and reports
  • Develop and revise survey and research tools
  • Draft memos, briefing papers, Congressional reports, and other documents as needed
  • Compile results and present trends, best practices, and policy recommendations
  • Assist with the program and financial review/analysis of funding applications for community-based projects
  • Support internal workgroups and the achievement of the client’s strategic plan
  • Requires travel up to 15% in the lower 48 states, with the possibility of trips to Alaska, Hawaii and Pacific Islands
