Tribal Tech is very dedicated to working with communities to help provide them with the information and skills necessary to deliver life-saving public awareness and education to their constiutency. One of the most successful curriculums used for this type of work is the Gathering of Native Americans (GONA) and Gathering of Alaska Natives (GOAN) model that is promoted by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).
One of the key features in the model’s success is the ability to be adapted by communities. The example featured below demonstrates the successful adaptation the GONA/GOAN model. This video and external link shows the work of an international indigenous community adapting GONA and applying it in their setting.
